📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We are currently seeking a Data Center Operations Mechanical SME for one of our Data Center clients.
This person can be located in Dallas/FW, TX, Phoenix, AZ or Salt Lake City, UT.
POSITION SUMMARY: This individual will be the company's Subject Matter Expert in relation to new campus design, systems operations, incident RCA, training, vendor management, maintenance, and troubleshooting to ensure ongoing, reliable, and efficient operations. This Subject Matter Expert will be directly involved in various Operational Excellence initiatives to include anything from Sales deal development, Data Center infrastructure design evaluation, validating installed operating conditions, site acceptance, M&A support, yearly site operational audits, to evaluating next level technologies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:8+ years relevant mechanical industry experience or mechanical trade level experienceBachelor’s degree in related field plus 4+ years relevant mechanical industry experience will be considered in lieu of 8+ years mechanical industry experiencePreference will be given to applicants with a Mechanical Engineering degree.Advanced experience with interpreting construction drawings and equipment specifications.Ability to analyze critical infrastructure sequence of operations, design parameters, alarms and indicators, and performance trends.System matter experience in the life cycle of data center operations from design, acceptance, operations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and event management. Expertise in creating standards and programs required to ensure “best in breed” data center operations.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Strong customer service acumen.May travel at times up to 30%
