Senior Metallurgist Summary:This job COULD BE a career progression step from a Product Metallurgist or an entry position for candidates with significant and relevant metals processing experience. OR AN EXPERIENCED METALLURGIST. Principal Responsibilities: Ensuring that product has been produced in accordance with the defined metallurgical processes, includingEnsuring that the product meets the customer requirements.Ensuring that the customer approval and fixed practice requirements have been followed.Arranging for re-testing, rework, and deviation of non-conforming product.Working with the Operations and Planning group to facilitate material movement through the department.Assisting the Chief Metallurgist with the introduction of new products or processes into standard production and writing detailed technical reports. TITANIUM AND/OR AEROSPACE EXPERIENCE IS HIGHLY PREFERRED. A MINIMUM OF A 4 YEAR DEGREE IN METAL SCIENCES OR MATERIAL SCIENCES NEEDED
