📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Title: Accounting ManagerLocation: New York, NY 10022 (Onsite daily next to Grand Central Station)Client: Global startup technology companyCompensation: Up to $125K salary plus equity and benefits
Position Overview / ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Controller, this role will have 2 direct reports.• Lead global, month-end financial statement close process• Lead evaluation of transactions for appropriate accounting treatment• Review bank reconciliations and perform accounts payable, receivables, and payroll services• Prepare sales tax filings• Partner with Sales and Product teams• Develop, implement, and document accounting processes, policies and procedures• Preparation of ad hoc reports and analysis• Support the budgeting and audit processes as needed
Qualifications• Minimum Bachelor’s degree• Targeting 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting or Audit, including experience with transaction processing and reconciliations• Strong understanding of US GAAP• Experience with QuickBooks• Experience with MS Excel or Google Sheets• Strong communication skills• Excellent organizational abilities
