Senior Accountant
A rapidly growing firm is seeking a Senior Accountant which will support the integration for newly acquired companies. The position is fully remote with occasional team meetings.
Responsibilities:Handle all facets of multiple employee benefit agencies accounting functionsRetrieve commission statements via various websitesPay all operating expensesGenerate Monthly P&L and Balance Sheet for the AgencyPrepare Accounts Receivable reportsExecute End of Day, End of Month and End of Year Balance Sheet and Income StatementCollect outstanding balancesMake bank deposits remotely using remote depositAdminister and reconcile bank accountsRecord journal entries from corporate teamPost Commissions daily from carrier websites and paper StatementsAssist with Budget PreparationDaily communication with agency leaders and 3rd party vendorsResolve any commission reconciliation variancesAssist with Audit requestsVarious additional projects as needed
Qualifications:Bachelors Degree3+ years of accounting experienceInsurance industry exposure preferred but not required
