Job Summary

Responsible for supporting and assisting in the operations of the Warehouse Lending processing team. Supports and assists Operations Management in generating reports, identifying process improvements, resolving issues, gathering information and supporting the processing teams as necessary. Primary responsibility for monitoring and reporting stale advances and collecting curtailments or repayments. Primary responsibility for monitoring and tracking hedge reports. Supports Construction advance tracking and reporting. Will review practices and policies to ensure they are up to date and compliant. Conducts research on various topics and makes recommendations for changes to management. Ensures monitoring and construction loan related advance activity on the warehouse lines of credit are performed and reported appropriately. This includes monitoring construction advances in the Construction Module of the Warloc application, and providing status reports to Warehouse Lending and Credit management. Responsible for billing, collection, and applying of monthly interest amounts for each advance. Monitors and follow ups with correspondent management regarding status reports on projects. Monitors and ensures follow up on construction advances nearing a year period on the line, including multiple iterations of the outstanding advance as draws are taken. Position requires extensive expertise in Warehouse Lending operations and the specialized area of construction loans and advances. Key position in a new products developed by Flagstar to grow the warehouse lending portfolio and to meet customer needs. Position also supports other areas of Warehouse Lending Operations, including balancing, repayment of advances, trouble shooting and resolving problem situations, preparing / approving / processing of internal transfer documentation, monitoring necessary adjustments and refunds for delayed payments, acting as a customer contact for repayment and reporting issues. Supporting and covering for Operations Processors as necessary, including Warehouse Over 30 monitoring, reporting, and customer communications, as well as monitoring and evaluating Hedge reports from correspondents. Assists department management in special projects. Performs end of day balancing and closing of Warloc activity. Performs end of day reporting, including customer email notifications as appropriate.

Job Responsibilities

Preparing, analyzing, and distributing reports and presenting information to senior leaders, including stale advances and curtailments, hedge reports, and construction advance tracking. Supports operations processing team in all aspects. Reviewing policies and practices for relevancy and ensures all are up to date and compliantGathers information for development of reports used by management in business decisioning. Reviews practices for efficiency and recommends changes. Participates in projects as assigned by management.

Job Requirements

2 years Warehouse Lending operations and 5 years of financial institution or comparable experience, with proven construction and analytical experience. HS Diploma, GED or Foreign Equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree preferredExcellent organization and communication skills. Strong Excel computer skills. PowerPoint experience a plus. Strong analytical and creative thinking skills (specifically for Hedge report analysis. Strong attention to details. Professional demeanor. Ability to work with others and independently.
