What will you do in this role?
Generate appropriate bills of lading and verifying accuracy for all shipmentsResponsible for overseeing the status of incoming and outgoing shipments to include maintaining the daily shipping and receiving logsMaintain a clear dock, staging and work area, and assisting material handlers with loading and unloading trucks as neededWork closely with business teams to prioritize and expedite 400-600 orders each monthWork with carriers to schedule pickups/drop offs and coordinate freight quotes for truck load routing and achieving best ratesSet up inventory locations for optimal use of warehouse inventory space and verify inventory accuracy reports with employees responsible for audit and cycle counting
What does it take to be successful in this role?
H.S. Diploma/GED or equivalentExcellent verbal and written communication skills1-3 years shipping/receiving experience in a manufacturing environment; experience with international shipping a plusExperience reading and generating bills of ladingBasic computer skillsExperience working with ISO 9001 not required but a plus1-2 years of fork truck experience
