📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
POSITION SUMMARY
The Referral Receptionist always presents a professional image and appearance and demonstrates proficiency in organizing information, messages and communication with Central Referral Staff, Facilities and Providers. The Referral Receptionist will manage incoming phone calls from Providers, Members and other departments by triaging calls, managing messages and relaying calls to the appropriate staff member when required. The Referral Receptionist will manage incoming referrals and disperse to appropriate personnel.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education, skills and experience
High School graduate or equivalent.Knowledge of Medical Terminology preferred. General office procedures and equipment (multi-line phone, fax, copier/scanning) required.Typing skills of 30 wpm required.Knowledge of General Computer Functions and Microsoft Office Suite, Email and Microsoft Outlook required.Knowledge of Adobe Standard (basic and organize page functions) preferred.Must be flexible in meeting the demands of all departmental operations.
