We are looking for a Performance Engineer/Analyst our join our Performance Engineering team - Americas Region who will serve as an expert for technical and engineering matters related to overall performance of battery storage systems during Execution and Operation phases of a project. As a Performance Engineer/Analyst, an successful candidate will be able to identify the requirements, investigate the issues, create scripts and perform data analysis to provide resolutions. The ideal candidate will possess technical expertise as well as a critical thinking ability.

What does a Performance Engineer/Performance Analyst do at Fluence?

Creating DC and AC Analysis scripts using Python and dealing with large data sets and data framesCreate data points list and perform data acquisitionPerform BESS DC and AC data analysis using various analytical toolsReview customer contractual requirements and create project test plansEvaluate the site performance in accordance with contractual commitments for all customer projects during execution and operation phase and create Project test reportsBasic understanding of Single Line DiagramPlan, Schedule, Coordinate, and work efficiently to complete projects in timely mannerCollaborate cross functionally with multiple teams – Battery, Sales, Operations & Execution, Services, Product to determine possible improvements based on performance results including the identification of needs, design improvements, testing etc.Ability to perform root cause analysis, troubleshooting and provide recommendations for improving performance at sites

What does the ideal candidate look like?

BS in Electrical Engineering with Computer Science Background. Master’s is a plus.2-3 years of work experience with an Energy Storage CompanyProven records of creating python scriptsAbility to create algorithm and create codes from scratchFamiliarity with API and data structures & data framesFamiliarity and understanding of AWS – S3, SagemakerFamiliarity with Jupyter notebookStrong background in using MS Office software: Excel, Word, and PowerPointGood Understanding about Jira, ConfluenceWilling to work overtime and with tight deadlinesGood Multi-tasking and Time-Management skills
