Job Description

The purpose of this position is to work on problems of limited scope by assisting and supporting the Estimating specialists as requested to meet project job requirements. This position provides technical support for the Estimating function. This support can include areas of project controls and/or estimating as it relates to capital cost estimating, planning, scheduling, cost management and progress reporting. This role may help with the work of other technicians.

Collect data and update and produce simple reports Perform simple material takeoffs from drawings as requested by Estimating specialists Perform basic scope/cost reconciliation for comparing a past estimate to a current estimate Assist with preparation of simple presentations for project reviews, and basic presentations for client reviews, management reviews, etc. Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements

Currently pursuing bachelors degree with junior level courses Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer 3.5 GPA Good math, computer, and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheets, and electronic presentation programs Working knowledge of company reference systems Analytical skills
