Aircraft Interior Finisher

Summary and ObjectiveAircraft Interior Finisher 1 inspect, remove, and install pieces or sections of an aircraft's interior, including carpeting, soundproofing, cabinets, lighting, and walls. This position is for a highly energetic individual with good people skills and decision-making metrics.Essential functionsReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Work from noncomplex blueprints, specifications, worksheet, dimensions, color codes, mixing charts, tables, verbal, and written instructions/specifications.Prepare and clean items, surfaces to be finished.Prepare, mask, sand, buff, repair, and polish aircraft cabinets.Use of bondo and glue.Spraying polyester, polyurethane, and clear coats.Knowledge of paints and being able to mix properly (solvent base, water base, clear coats).Knowing how to do touch ups inside the aircraft in a timely manner.Leather seat prepping, cleaning, and dying.Ability to work with and understand Corridor.Cleaning and maintenance of spray application equipment, booths, filters, PPE, and other equipment to established practices.Other duties as assigned.Skills and Abilities:Superior and careful workmanship.Leadership and team oriented.Ability to perform consistently in a continuous fast paced environment.Ability to perform inspections and repairs.Ability to learn new skills and methods of repairs.Sufficient oral and verbal communication skills, as needed, to discuss equipment malfunctions and complete reports.Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States, must provide two forms of Federal Identification.CompetenciesProficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to complete and maintain records.Supervisory responsibilitiesThis position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.Work environmentWhile performing the duties of this job, employees are frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibrations, and loud noise levels both inside and outside the hangar.Possible exposure to a variety of extreme weather conditions.Exposure to loud noises including airplane machinery and jet engines.Physical demandsMust be able to stand, lie, and kneel in awkward positions and spaces.Must be able to perform work on scaffolding or ladders.Must be able to frequently lift and pull objects weighing up to 75 poundsManual dexterity and physical strength are necessary to operate tools and/or make adjustments and repairs.Must have visual acuity to inspect equipment and identify defects.The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be 8-12 hours)Dress Code and UniformWell-groomed appearanceAdherence to department dress codeTravel requiredSome, less than 10%Required education and experienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent1-5 years’ experience with sanding, prepping, cleaning, spraying, and dying required.1-5 years’ experience with mixing, paint, solvents required.The ability to read measurements, work or calculate numbers, use handheld tools, including but not limited to handheld pallet jacks, pneumatic staple guns, industrial hot glue guns, and power drills.Preferred education and experienceIt's preferred that you have at least 3 years of experience with corporate business jets or show that you have the knowledge and skills needed to do the job.Corridor experience preferred.EEO statementflyExclusive does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sex stereotyping, gender identity, gender expression or transgender status), national origin, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, age, protected genetic information, status as a parent, marital status, political affiliation, or retaliation based on prior protected EEO activity.Other dutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
