π Role Overview & Responsibilities
As the Accounting Manager, you'll serve as the main accountant tasked with ensuring the company's financial records are precise across all accounting activities. Additionally, you'll manage accounts receivable processing, oversee offsite payroll processing for over 200 employees, and supervise accounts payable. Reporting directly to the CFO, you'll collaborate with various team members. Your role will involve developing and implementing processes to enhance company operations and ensure the delivery of accurate and timely reports.
Responsibilities:Perform all accounting activities to complete all transactions following accounting principles.Enter all manual and payroll journal entries into ERP software and prepare all account reconciliations.Run semi-monthly payroll using ADP.Enter physical inventory adjustments and reconcile inventory monthly.Assist with month-end close.Assist in preparing monthly sales reporting and financial statements.Process full cycle of AR weekly.Ensure proper governmental reporting and compliance.Maintain the strictest of confidentiality.Manage the AP Analyst position.Perform monthly bank reconciliation.
Qualifications:Bachelorβs degree in accounting or equivalent experience required; CPA certification preferred.At least 3 years of payroll processing experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting with hourly employees.Familiarity with various employment laws and procedures, particularly proficient in California wage regulations.Knowledgeable of GAAP.Proficient in payroll and accounting systems, with experience in ADP Workforce Now.Strong attention to detail, ensuring data entry accuracy.Upholds high standards of professionalism and ethics in handling confidential information.Capable of effectively communicating with employees regarding payroll inquiries or concerns.Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, enabling effective interaction with diverse audiences within the company.Proficient in core computer skills, including PCs, Microsoft Office suite, and internet applications.Self-motivated and proactive, demonstrating initiative in various situations.Adaptable to a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, comfortable with ambiguity and change.Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.Positive attitude and willingness to assume additional responsibilities to collaborate effectively within a team and achieve objectives.
