What We Expect
Job duties include but are not limited to
Plan, organize, control and direct the work of employees in the Room Service Department while ensuring guest satisfaction. Motivate employees in Room Service to ensure that established cultural and core standards are met long-range strategic planning for outlet operation. The ability to be visible in the operation, provide recognition, promote good public relations, and handle complaints, concerns or special requests for guests, clients, and group contacts. Follow-up on service procedures and supervise the consistency of quality and efficiency of food and service. Ensure the cleanliness of Room Service and guest hallways by enforcing clean-up schedules. The ability to assist in preparation of staff schedules according to forecasts, daily and weekly payroll reports and scheduled functions. Continuous training program with entire service staff. The ability to participate in regular staff meetings to keep employees informed of hotel policies and changes as well as ways to increase sales and service. Ensure effective and efficient methods for setting orders. Train order takers in proper selling and telephone techniques. The ability to assume the role of the Assistant Room Service Manager in his/her absence. The ability to respond properly in any hotel emergency or safety situation. Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.
Skills/Qualifications
Ideal candidate will have
Two to three years previous experience in a line, supervisory or assistant manager position in Food & Beverage. Knowledge of food & beverage service, cost control, labor control, maintenance, merchandising, and accounting. Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other food & beverage computer systems. Requires reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language. This position requires an applicant with a flexible schedule and the ability to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.
