Role Overview

Fractal.ai is seeking an experienced and visionary Technology Leader to helm our Healthcare and Life Sciences (HLS) practice within the Capability and Technology Delivery (CDT) team. This pivotal role is designed for a seasoned professional capable of driving technology strategy, innovation, and digital transformation, with a focus on the healthcare and pharmaceutical sectors. As Head of Data Engineering, you will be instrumental in shaping our HLS practice, embodying diversity and inclusivity in leadership.

Responsibilities

Technical Strategy and Execution: Lead the development and implementation of technical strategies for the HLS sector. Manage technical project aspects to deliver on time and meet client expectations. Define and execute architectural strategies and technical roadmaps.

Strategic Leadership and Delivery Excellence: Serve as the technical expert and advisor to CIOs and CTOs of premier global organizations, steering them through intricate technological decisions. You will align technology solutions with business objectives, focusing on operational efficiency and excellence in delivery. As a hands-on contributor, you will be actively billable, working directly with select strategic clients to guarantee the highest standard of delivery.

Team Development: Build and enhance the engineering team's capabilities. Mentor and manage both local and remote teams to encourage innovation and teamwork. Ensure team skills are up-to-date with industry trends.

Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as sales, AI, design, finance, and marketing to align efforts and achieve company goals. Promote a culture of cooperation to enhance overall business results.

Technical Skills and Learning: Keep abreast of developments in cloud technologies, particularly Azure and AWS, and General AI. Lead digital transformation efforts to increase client satisfaction and operational effectiveness.

QualificationsBachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).12-15+ years of proven experience in technology leadership roles, with a strong focus on the healthcare and pharmaceutical industries.In-depth knowledge of and experience with cloud platforms, AI, and machine learning applications in healthcare and pharmaceuticals.Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage large, diverse teams.Comprehensive understanding of health insurance and life sciences value chains and functional knowledge of drug commercialization, patient claims, real-world data, EHR/EMR, market access, medical affairs, and the regulatory landscape.Ability to manage a portfolio of 40-50MN revenue enterprise technical delivery.

Pay:The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $200,000 - $300,000. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

Benefits:As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take time needed for either sick time or vacation.
