Work Location: Remote from the Upper Midwest (Wisconsin, Northern Indiana, Northern Illinois, Southern Michigan)(no c2c, no sponsorship)Benefits included from Day 1
Our client has is a global presence for over 100 years and is committed to innovation and sustainable energy solutions. They are seeking a Field Service Technician to work on industrial generators, renewable energy, natural gas, and MAN engines in the field. Up to 80% local travel to these states listed above. 4 day work week.
Diesel Mechanics do not apply please. This is not that type of position.
What you will be doing...4 day work week, some remote support, onsite at clients perform maintenance and repairs on industrial gas engines, renewable gas, MAN gas engines, and related equipment to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.Traveling up most of the week to support clients in the company provided vehicleUp to 4.5 Megawatt enginesMaintain up-to-date OEM certification through continuous learning and hands-on field experience.Respond promptly to scheduled and emergency callouts, ensuring fast troubleshooting and fault rectification.Manage parts efficiently, minimizing wastage and maintaining accurate inventory records.Adhere strictly to health, safety, and environmental guidelines at all times.
Qualifications5 - 8 years of field service experience, ideally within the power generation or gas engine sectors.Proficient in electrical and mechanical systems.Ability to work independently in diverse settings.Availability for extensive travel, overtime, with a willingness to be away from home. Some overnight travel as required.Basic IT skills, with a preference for candidates having the knowledge of power generation and gas engine technologies.Driver's license in good standing
