Quality Control Associate

The Role:FCF is looking for an entry level QC associate lab chemist to join our team in our QC and analytical lab. It is an exciting position that will expose the candidate to both the fragrance and color and additive industry. 1-3 years experience is preferred in a lab setting but open to new college chemistry majors. Required Skills• Have an organized quality mindset with attention to detail and strong problem-solving organization skills. • Good verbal and written communication skills• Follow work instructions and Good Lab Practice ( GLP) in a safe manner.• Be dependable, ability to multi-task, productive and high-quality workmanship• Strong interpersonal skills in order to liaison with Creative staff, and Sales on production related issues• Growth mindset individuals who consistently strive to grow their capabilities.• Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and standard MS office software• Interact with Production personnel to ensure timely delivery to customers. Role & Responsibilities• GC vial sample preparation of fragrances and colors, sample extractions and sample filtering preparation.• Colored Dye preparation and testing on GC.• Running samples on GC • When requested, analyze GC chromatograms for pass fail determination with supervision.• Specific Gravity, flashpoint, and other property testing of raw materials.• Offer observations for possible root cause during investigations. • Communicate the findings to the proper parties according to established procedures.• Proactively analyze new materials when time permits with supervision.• Communicate the findings to the proper parties according to established procedures.• Keep good records and return retain samples when finished• Perform standard evaluation in collaboration with Perfumers and test batch samples from production as needed.• Utilize laboratory equipment and tools to perform testing as necessary (GC instrumental)• Track and document accurate records of quality control data and results.• File all retains at the conclusion of sample testing cycle• Interact with Production personnel to ensure timely delivery to customers. • Proficiency with MS Office: Word, Excel and standard MS office software• Strong interpersonal skills in order to liaison with Creative staff, and Sales on production related issues• File all retains at the conclusion of sample testing cycle About French Color & Fragrance CoFrench Color & Fragrance Co. is a global company specializing in the creation of fragrance,color and additives for the home fragrance, fine fragrance and personal care industries.
