Summary:Manages and oversees the account managers within the brokerage at FST Logistics. Has the full ability to use the knowledge and understanding of a client’s business to provide solutions to optimize and grow the accounts. Focuses on building customer relationships at multiple levels of larger organizations with self-sufficiency and a broad knowledge of truck markets/pricing and rate negotiation with customers. Responsible for acting as the liaison between the client, carrier, shipper, and receiver; and developing solid relationships with all parties by providing world class customer service; and ensuring that any issues which might arise are quickly and professionally resolved among all parties. Managing the movement of client's goods from on time pickup through transport and delivery are critical to the success of the position. You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business process and the utilization of all technology platforms, as defined by FST.

Responsibilities

Build strategic relationships with best in class partner carriers, while meting monthly and quarterly profitabilitygoalsRequires being a team player as the position will work closely with Sales, Relationship Managers, CustomerService, and OperationsNegotiate carrier rates (both spot and contracted) to optimize profits, work with shippers, carriers, anddispatchers to manage pickup/delivery schedules that meet contractual SLAs and resolve freight discrepanciesin a timely mannerProblem-solver over the phone with drivers and dispatchers, track shipments of loads booked, and vet carriersthrough FMCSAResponsible for carrier setups, including DocuWare complianceMaintain current knowledge of the freight market and be effective at maintaining, developing, and managingcarrier relationshipsCustomer-oriented and have the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentBuild and maintain strong, long-lasting carrier relationshipsWork closely with sales to translate pipeline opportunities into profitable business by strategically leveragingexisting carrier base and/or developing new carrier relationships and you will manage multiple tasks based onthe client's day to day needs: sourcing carriers, order entry, quoting, tracking & trace, scheduling, etc.You will be held accountable to comply with all defined business process and the utilization of all technologyplatforms, as defined by FST
