GRADUATE ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
COMPANY DESCRIPTION My client is a San Antonio-based professional mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering design firm specializing in a wide range of project types and sizes. They provide management, technical studies, site investigations, design, and construction administration services for both the private and public sectors.
RESPONSIBILITIESGraduate Electrical Designer will work under the supervision of a licensed professional electrical engineer.Design of branch circuit distribution systems for power and lighting in commercial facilitiesDesign of overall power distribution systems and fire alarm systemsPerform accurate calculations to support system designsAttend design and/or construction meetings as requiredPerform construction site visits as requiredDevelop meeting minutes and/or site observation reportsInteract with the design team from inception to completion on a project-specific basisREQUIREMENTS2 - 4 years recent experience in Electrical Engineering design for commercial building construction projects (experience can substitute for education).Electrical systems installation experience is preferred but not required.Engineer In Training (EIT) preferred but not required.Proficiency in MS Office software.Must have the ability to interact and perform as part of a team.Excellent organizational and communication skills are required.Current valid Driver License and insurable driving recordWorking knowledge of Revit MEP preferred.Must have at least 1-year of AutoCAD experience in and MEP / A&E environment.
