Satellite Engineer

GCI's Engineering and Architecture Engineer will work with engineering and network operations support teams to resolve any hardware/technical issues and implement changes. Work with cross functional teams to define project requirements and planning necessary to deliver quality products on time. Work with customer care teams to monitor, identify, and resolve customer issues in a timely fashion. Provide technical content used to create marketing/sales collateral.

ForecastingAccountable for forecasting demand on the GCI network (satellite, microwave, core, TERRA, HFC, Mobility).Provides forecasts bi-annually for input into the LRP (long range plan).Provides ad-hoc capacity checks as requested from other GCI departments.Coordinates with other departments to optimize costs by consolidating or “right sizing” leased capacity as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications

Required: *A combination of relevant work experience and/or education sufficient to perform the duties of the job may substitute to meet the total years required on a year-for-year basisHigh School diploma or equivalent.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, or related field. *Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in relevant field. *
