EHS Audit Lead

Summary

Job Description

The EHS Audit Leader must be able to partner effectively with Company leaders and Business Unit EHS Leaders to manage expectations and to align on strategy and governance control to best prioritize initiatives in alignment with BUs based on risk to ensure focused execution. They will support the development and implementation of the GE Vernova EHS Audit programs, goals, values and other factors; streamlining procedures and processes while improving program effectiveness and increasing collaboration and synergy with procurement and external audit contractors.

This leader will report to the EHS Compliance Leader and will work to safeguard GE Vernova in accordance with legal requirements such as Securities Exchange Act of 1934 (US), Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) 2021, CSRD/TSRD EU Directives, CSR EU Directive2014/95/EU, REACH, RoHS/WEEE, Conflict Mineral, and OSHA/EU OSHA. They will also be responsible for conducting internal and external audits for compliance assurance with the GE Vernova EHS Governance Program. The EHS Audit Leader will support cross business communities of EHS P&L lead auditors, collaborate closely with the GE Vernova Legal Counsel, and develop the EHS Governance Audit training program for internal auditors.

Essential Responsibilities

Develop the EHS Governance Audit training program for internal auditors in accordance with the EHS Governance Program. Provide leadership and direction in the design and implementation of GE Vernova’s EHS Audit and Certification program globallyMeasure the businesses performance against the requisite standard, reporting on findings and driving improvement opportunitiesCollaborate with EHS and Operational stakeholders to deliver targeted information on Governance and Auditing best practicesOperate as EHS liaison with external audit agenciesPerform other duties as directed

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent knowledge or experience in engineering or another relevant technical / business field required. Senior professional with significant experience in large, regulated, high hazard industrial companies, where there is field-based work. Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills Experience as a lead auditor (ISO 9001/ISO 45001) Experience in mentoring and providing training EHS teamExtensive experience with complex accident/incident investigations Strong knowledge of EHS issues and regulatory framework both health and safety and environmental including air and water permitting and waste compliance

The salary range for this position is

128,900.00 - 214,800.00 USD Annually. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for 15% variable incentive compensation.
