The Supplier Quality Technical Leader for Special Processes will work closely with Onshore Wind Sourcing, Material Processing Engineering, and the Global Supplier Quality team on all special processes required to effectively support supplier quality requirements for assigned wind turbine components and suppliers.

Essential Responsibilities
As the Supplier Quality Technical Leader for Special Processes Onshore Wind, you will be responsible for:
Managing and Monitoring the TPG Special Processes Accreditation Program for Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers conducting special processes on GE productsDriving TPG Accreditation for new parts or new special processesMaintain list of approved Special Process providers and SQ Subject Matter Experts Maintain the Global NDT Program utilizing GE NDT Level 3’s per GE SpecificationsSupporting a group of Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) in special processes to secure integrity of Heat Treatment, Welding, Non-Destructive Testing, and CoatingsInstruct Special Process (Welding, NDT, Heat Treatment, Coatings) Courses for the Supplier Quality team and maintain the NDT Limited Auditor Training ProgramMaintain/ Develop global standard audit process for accreditation by Special ProcessManage audits for Special Processes on “Non-Critical Parts”, or “Critical” parts with no TPG AccreditationManage Special Process Support Central Sites (Welding, NDT, Coatings) and process cases submitted by SQE’sProcess Owner for any Supplier Quality Special Process QMS documents and work with Materials Engineering team to update any GE Special Process SpecificationsWork with Supplier Quality Operation team to develop any new Tools required to collect or analyze dataSupport Coating Qualifications per GE SpecificationsManage Initiatives/Projects for special processes (example: UT Overchecks, Weld Defect Rates, PAUT on tower welds)Manage any Special Processes Validation Testing Programs to ensure special process integrity and quality (example: Welding, Charpy Testing)
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a technical field from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in technical field)Ability and willingness to travel 40% as required
Desired Characteristics
Currently holding Level 3 NDT certifications per ASNT or ISO for the following NDT Methods: VT, MT, UTEnglish language skillsExperience working with Fabrications, Castings, Forgings and Composites Heat Treatment ExperienceCertified in advanced UT methods such as PAUT or TOFDCurrently holding weld inspection certificationCurrently holding NACE certification Experience working with suppliersAuditing experienceAbility to work in a cross-functional and global team environmentWritten and verbal communication skillsRelated Wind sourcing and/or manufacturing experienceLean Six Sigma trained and certified or equivalent quality training and certificationExperience on Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) Demonstrated technical aptitude and a passion for qualityDemonstrated leadership and organizational skills
The salary range for this position is 125,000.00 - 208,300.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include Health, Medical, 401K, Paid Leave.
