The Opportunity

As the Senior/Master Maintenance Mechanic you will be accountable for utilizing your skills and experience to achieve the accurate completion of tasks in support of plant operations. You are responsible for the maintenance and repair of process and clean utility equipment on the Vacaville campus, including documentation of work based on cGMP standards.

What you will do

The timely completion of tasks and work orders with appropriate documentation according to standard operating procedures, applicable standards, guidelines, practices, and policies. Interact and communicate appropriately with Manufacturing, Quality, Technology, and Engineering to ensure satisfactory performance and compliance of mechanical systems. Represent Maintenance on multidisciplinary project teams and make presentations as required. Produce CMMS data to derive performance metrics for management that will be gathered on a daily basis for monthly reporting.Provide general expertise and training to junior staff.Assist as a technical SME with the identification, purchase, and organization of spare parts.

Who you are

High School Diploma or GED. Master Mechanic - minimum of 5 years experience in an industrial maintenance or operation environmentSenior Mechanic - minimum of 3 years experience in an industrial maintenance or operation environmentAbility to read and understand Piping and Instrumentation Drawings as required. Highly skilled in two mechanical trades, knowledgeable in at least 4 others.

Work Environment/Physical Demands/Safety Considerations

The environment requires that gowning in the form of hospital scrubs, bunny suits, gloves and steel-toe boots be worn. Also, no make-up or jewelry can be worn when working in a clean room environment.Working with/around various chemicals (i.e. acids and bases), solvents, pressurized systems, compressed gases, and biological materials (Recombinant DNA)Work in environments that may include low, medium, or high voltages

Candidates must be open to 12hr shifts 6 am-6:30 pm / 6 pm-6:30 am.

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is $35/hour - $60/hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
