Job Responsibilities

SORs and project management for tools, stations or specific technologiesSupervising a group of Skilled employees to troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and processes.Consistently administer National and Local Agreement between General Motors and the United Auto Workers Union.Utilize independent judgment within the limits of Global Manufacturing Systems, focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE).Typically part of a larger effort or project:manufacturing process definitionsequence of operationshuman factors considerationefficient material flowDesign, construction, integration, plant installation, successful launch and continuous improvement of equipment and tools required in plants for the production of high quality partsProvide technical direction to and oversight of outside vendor sourcesWork may involve development and testing of advanced process technology

Required Skills

Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic blueprints.Ability to troubleshoot PLC systemsAbility to coordinate, manage and lead people.Interpersonal and relationship management skills to effectively collaborate with varying levels of the organization.Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.Willingness to ask questions, take initiative and be resourceful.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.High level of integrity, ability to deal with ambiguity, self-directed.Ability to work cross-functionally with Engineering and Manufacturing Teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experienceAt least 5 years of manufacturing experienceAt least 3 years of experience leading a teamExperience with PLCs, Allen-Bradley, Siemens and conveyorsMust be willing to rotate shifts
