Cardiac Sonographer

Genius Talent has partnered with a leading healthcare provider in Harrisonburg, VA who have an amazing full-time opportunity to join their dynamic team as an Echocardiographer. As an Echocardiographer, you will play a pivotal role in conducting a wide range of advanced cardiology imaging. While working under the direction of physicians and radiologists you will ensure the safe operation of equipment and patient safety. There is a $20,000 sign on bonus for qualified candidates along with relocation assistance and great benefits. There are multiple day shift positions available.

Responsibilities: Conduct a range of procedures, including adult 2D and 3D transthoracic and transesophageal echo, myocardial strain, contrast (DEFINITY), agitated saline (bubble study), exercise stress echo, and dobutamine stress echo.Generate preliminary reports using Prosolv, a structured report software application.Utilize state-of-the-art Philips Epic ultrasound systems as clinical equipment.Employ the EPIC electronic medical record system.Deliver both inpatient and outpatient echo services located within the non-invasive cardiology lab.

Qualifications:Associate's Level Degree in Cardiovascular Technology or bachelor’s Level Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, or a High School Diploma or Equivalent. Experience can be considered in place of formal education.Basic Life Support certificationA minimum of 1 year of experience in echocardiography is preferred or new graduates from accredited echocardiography programs (or equivalent education) following IAC Guidelines.An adult echocardiography registry (RDCS or RCS or RDCS) must be obtained within 12 months of hire.Must live within 30-minute drive of the hospital.
