Your Role
Our Chicago office is looking for a dynamic Technical Director to join our practice. You are a seasoned architect and recognized technical expert with experience in high profile, design driven projects. As a Technical Director, it’s your job to lead multiple teams of architects and designers to deliver unparalleled architectural projects. Leverage your industry experience and technical acumen to drive client projects from concept through build.
What You Will Do
Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultantsSupport communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officialsProvide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges Maintain project manual and specificationsProven ability to work with and oversee multiple projects and teams
Your Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture15+ years of project experience in an architectural practiceLicensed or registered architectExperience with Revit, Bluebeam Revu, and MS OfficeExpert knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and green building strategies.LEED accreditation requiredExcellent interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with construction contractors and subcontractors. Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices required. Portfolios should include at least 1 project with this particular focus, and candidates should be prepared to talk to this in their interview, especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwell and /or Net Zero Building certification.
