📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Role: Precision Fires Launchers Design EngineerClient: DOD-AerospaceLocation: Grand Prairie TXDuration: 1-year contract Hourly Rate: up to $56/hr (W2, non-benefited)
Position Description:Provide Mechanical Engineering & Product Design support for production and/or Industrial Engineering Services programs.Develop and release engineering documents, including hardware configuration item drawings, in the Digital Product Lifecycle Management (dPLM) tool.Coordinate tasks with other engineering team members and provide regular status updates to leadership.Perform reviews of work products from the engineering team to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
Required Skills & Experience:Proficiency in 3D CAD software, with preference given to experience with ProE/CREO.Experience in 3D model manipulation, drawing preparation, and tolerance analysis.Additional Skills and Experience:Familiarity with Windchill dPLM software.Experience in hardware fabrication and supplier support.Knowledge of precision manufacturing processes and techniques.Experience with production support or supplier support preferred.Strong proficiency in MS Office tools.Ability to travel occasionally, by air or car, to suppliers and production sites as needed.Active Secret Clearance is preferred
Required Experience & Education:A minimum of two years of professional experience in a relevant engineering role, coupled with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering.
