Project Manager (Heavy Civil)
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will possess; • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred • 3-5+ years of experience in a Project Engineer role • 2+ years of experience in heavy civil construction, including Caltrans projects. • Knowledge of public work, Caltrans specifications, with a proven track record of bringing in contracts on time and on budget preferred • Demonstrates leadership skills with ability and willingness to face challenges, solve problems, and motivate others • Ability to develop strong client relationships • Ability to work with others and foster a collaborative environment • Demonstrates solid presentation and verbal/written skills • Computer skills are a must: o Proficient in project management software (PlanGrid, Smartsheet, HCSS HeavyJob) a plus o Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) • QSP-certified ideal • Ability to understand all safety requirements and take the necessary precautions • Establishes relationships and communication tools as needed with suppliers and other key people to verify all labor, materials, supplies, tools, and equipment are obtained and/or delivered when necessary. • Ability to interpret complex laws, regulations and policies • Identify and maximize value engineering opportunities • Available to travel greater than 100 miles from main office
