Production Supervisor - 3rd Shift

Georgia-Pacific is now hiring a Production Supervisor for our San Leandro, CA Corrugated box plant. The Production Supervisor will utilize leadership, operations experience, and communication to identify and convert change improvement opportunities related to people, process, and systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate safety as a value and lead a crew of employees to exceed production expectations for the shift.

This position is for 3rd shift operating on Monday night 10:00pm – Saturday 6:00am.

What You Will Do

Lead an operating team in compliance, safety, health, environmental, and qualityFoster a culture based on our Principled Based Management (PBM®) Philosophy Drive safety excellence through promoting employee involvement, ownership, and accountability to proactively identify hazards and implement appropriate mitigating strategies; investigate incidents and participate in resolution managementCoach, train, and develop operations personnel in safety, quality, and productionEnsure best practices are followed for minimization of waste at machine centersAddress key issues and concerns and interact with employees from other departments to ensure quality, on-time productionPlan, assign and direct work for all hourly production employees; appraise performance and provide feedback as needed; assist in resolving complaints; hold employees accountable as needed; communicate issues and results on a daily basis

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

At least one (1) year experience supervising employees within a manufacturing, production, industrial, or military environmentExperience coaching and developing a teamMust have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without requiring a visa transfer or visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

Bachelor's degree or higher Experience managing corrugated & converting or packaging production operationsBilingual – English/Spanish

For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000- $120,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
