📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Leading Multibillion-dollar Asset Management and Investment Banking firm with global presence seeks a Hedge Fund Middle Office Bank Debt - Loan Closer with 3-10 years of experience preferably acquired in a buy-side firm, service provider or related financial firm versed in the closing and settlement of both LSTA Par and Distressed trades. The selected individual is versed in Clearpar, understands LSTA guidelines and the interpretation of credit agreements and covenants, can liaise with trade counsel, assist with trade breaks between the trading desk and counterparties, and work closely with the front office, operations, and accounting. Responsibilities: • Maintain a portfolio of Syndicated Bank Loan open trades from trade date to settlement and booking of LSTA Par, Distressed loan, & Unregistered Equity trades into internal & external systems and executing, coordinating and supervising the administrative, operational, legal and technical matters in respect to the syndicated loan business.• Liaise with the Front Office, Risk, Compliance, and Operations on all related matters and communicate trade closing with trading desk, treasury, operations, accounting, and commissions groups.• Review/prepare associated settlement documentation including trade confirmations, assignment agreements and pricing for accuracy and ensure all documentation is filed and in compliance with the firm’s policy.• Create and maintain internal bank database used to monitor deal activities, provide accurate and timely instructions to the back office regarding payment flows, and coordinate trade closings with clients and administration/transfer agents.• Resolve trade and commission disputes that arise, draft LSTA confidentiality agreements, and maintain confidential documents via various deal sites.Desired Skills and Experience: • A minimum of 3 to 10 years of LSTA Par, Distressed, and Syndicated Laon Closing experience with related LSTA or LMA trade settlements (distressed a plus but not necessary)• Ability to read and interpret credit and security legal documents, understanding covenant agreements, and be able to communicate and interact with clients, banks, and internal stakeholders.•A good understanding of financing structures, related legal documents and various agency roles• A team player with a customer-service oriented attitude and positive personality with strong verbal and written communication skills and able to work & deal with rapidly changing circumstances while meeting tight deadlines.• Bachelor’s degree and proficiency in MS Office, Clearpar (WSO a plus but not necessary) Excellent Salary, Bonus, Benefits, and career advancement offering an exceptional opportunity to learn, intern, and continue to grow while working with very smart people in a professional and collaborative work environment.
