Maintenance Shop Supervisor
📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Summary:Oversee, coordinate, and prioritize all service work performed in service center department including; rewind, mechanical, motor, pump, electromechanical, machine, shipping, and receiving. The role is salaried with overtime, Monday through Friday 7am-3:30pm.
Duties:Assist and advise all service center employees, as needed, in repair and/ or replacement work.Produce technical drawings and/or illustrations as necessary,Oversee the priority scheduling of all service workCoordinate all inter-departmental work toward job completion within quotes.Monitor ongoing time-and-material costs for each job with department supervisors.Approve all requisitions for needed service center equipment and review them with owner/ general manager,Review and track all job estimate paperwork.Direct all service center supervisors and personnel in proper safety procedures related to their duties.Confer daily with owner/ general manager regarding service center operation, job scheduling, repair problems, customer concerns, employee performance, and other matters as deemed appropriate.Carry out disciplinary actions in accordance with company policy.Check repair data gathered by motor mechanics.Make sure that the proper tools and necessary equipment are available and in good condition to perform the required work efficiently.
Qualifications:High school diploma required10+ years of electric motor repair.Supervising mechanical work is preferred, not requiredAbility to lift and/or move more than 100 pounds; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
