Seamster/Seamstress
As a Seamster/Seamstress you will handle a range of tasks related to garment alterations and repairs.
Responsibilities
Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures.Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service.Handles all sewing and material alterations for the hotel/casino.Performs any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma required. Full understanding of mending and construction techniques. Computer skills helpful. Ability to work in a fast paced and stressful environment Seamstress / Seamster experience requiredMust have knowledge of: straight stitch machine, overlock and blind stitch machines.Ability to work efficiently, independently and cohesively, consistently producing quality results Must be able to meet the following physical requirements: carry and/or lift weight up to 30 lbs, stand/sit for 7 hours depending on work assignment, bend, kneel or move during course of 7 hours, and push or pull garment rack up to 50 lbs.
