Your Impact

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) business unit within Core Engineering is looking for an experienced Security Solutions Engineer. The role of a Security Solutions Engineer is to implement tools to harden the firm against security threats by preventing malicious behavior, improving our ability to detect unintended use and reporting the secure state of critical IAM platforms. Security Solutions Engineers are subject matter experts of IAM platforms but must also understand how GS business applications are integrated to IAM solutions. The role is focused on risk identification, solution design and implementation. The role will also have manager responsibilities for other Security Solutions engineers and related staff.

How You Will Fulfill Your Potential

In specific, the candidate will

Participate in design, build out, and maintenance of a distributed, multi-region, scalable, resilient datastore containing input from multiple inventory and security scan systems.Evaluate and integrate threat data providers into authentication and authorization systems.Exploring new and emerging technologies as needed by the project.Interact with other engineering teams to understand technology offerings and how they can be applied and leveraged as part of our solutions.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of hands-on Java development experience with a solid grasp of Java development and testing best practices Strong technical skills, analytical mindset, creative, enjoys the challenge of solving interesting and sometimes difficult technical problems.Experience with building and consuming RESTful web servicesExperience managing technical staff, establishing project milestones and related project tracking.Team player, eager to work in a global organizationCommercially focused; seeks to understand the requirements and how they will benefit our clients, stakeholders, and business

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Experience with designing and building high-throughput, scalable, resilient systemsExperience with or knowledge of distributed NoSQL data stores such as MongoDB or ElasticSearchGood oral and written communication skills
