The Role
The GDY PRO Educator is a talented and professional hair stylist with a passion for vibrant hair color, is serious(but not too serious) about the hair industry, and enjoys sharing their knowledge on the art of coloring. The GDYPRO Educator trains at designated stores, salons, and online with the primary responsibility of teaching clients,store staff, and other hair professionals all about Good Dye Young. The GDY PRO Educator is an extension ofGood Dye Young and works to increase brand awareness through education, selling skills, effectivedemonstrations, and merchandising updates. The GDY PRO Educator is expected to create meaningfulrelationships with our retailers, salon partners, and clients.
About the Brand:Good Dye Young was created by Hayley Williams, lead singer of the Grammy Award winning band Paramore, and herlongtime hair stylist and makeup artist, Brian O’Connor. Brian O’ Connor is a staple in the styling scene in the South’sentertainment capital, Nashville. His expertise in color and style has helped shape GDY’s products. Focused on qualityingredients and product performance, Brian sets a high standard for all of the brand’s offerings.The two became best friends through years of creative collaboration and developed GDY as a hair color brand with a visionto create a community around self-expression, color and happiness about being who you are.
Operations:▪ Report sales, merchandise concerns, and education efforts to Field Manager▪ Manage and report hours to Field Manager▪ Act as Good Dye Young’s brand ambassador at store and salon level; provide continual communicationto Field Manager▪ Create and book allotted visits for assigned stores and salonsQualifications & Required Skills:▪ At least 2-3 years of professional experience coloring hair▪ Current cosmetology license preferred, but not required▪ Demonstrated skills in communication, selling, product knowledge, and training in hair styling and coloring▪ Memorable, positive, professional & enthusiastic presence▪ Self-motivated, committed & goal-oriented▪ Multi-store visit calendar booking & management skills▪ Ability to travel as required within designated market▪ Flexibility with work hours, i.e., weekends & evenings▪ Must possess basic computer skills and be able to conduct virtual trainings
