Associate Financial Analyst

This role is part of a strong Finance team that helps to provide guidance to Gordian leadership. In this role you will analyze and provide commentary on relevant financial results across our organization. You will participate in the development and advancement of cost collection and reporting processes while maintaining financial forecasting models and report results.

Responsibilities

Work with departments, the VP and Senior Financial Analyst of Financial Planning and Analysis to prepare forecasts including short-term projections, annual budgets, and long-range plansProvide commentary to assist management with understanding results and forecasts/budgetsProvide comparison of forecast results versus actual results, along with analysis of deviations from forecast/budgetPrepare journal entries at month-end to ensure accurate financial resultsParticipate in corporate reporting of results, forecasts, and financial statisticsExpense Tracking - maintain a list of expenses at a detailed level including variance analysisDevelop and manage KPI’s and metrics as determined by leadershipGather and maintain relevant historical financial reports by compiling data from multiple sources and presenting it in the most useful wayParticipate in the annual budget process at the direction of the VP of Financial Planning and AnalysisPerform ad hoc analysis as requested by the VP of Financial Planning and Analysis or the CFO

Qualifications

A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, Finance or Accounting major preferred1 year of professional Finance and Accounting experience preferredDetail orientation and focus on providing accurate and relevant information and analysis are essentialStrong organizational skills along with the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects simultaneouslyThe capability to process large amounts of data in a manner that leads to the ability to efficiently analyze that dataThe ability to search tables within databases to extract information relevant to job dutiesKeen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation; able to identify patterns and trendsCapable of identifying problems or errors in data as well as discovering the root cause of those problems or errorsThe ability to work independently, as well as part of a teamMaintain strict confidentiality of forecasts and/or resultsExpertise with Excel and experience with NetSuite and OneStream preferred

National: The salary range for this position is $45,700 - $84,800

This position is also eligible for bonus as part of the total compensation package.

Base pay offered may vary depending on various factors, including, but not limited to: job-related knowledge; skills; experience; and other eligibility factors such as geographic location.
