Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estimator/Project Manager with expertise in marine construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately estimating project costs, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within scope.

Key Responsibilities

Estimate Project Costs:Conduct comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for marine construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other relevant factors.Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to identify project requirements and develop cost estimates accordingly.Collaborate with suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to obtain pricing and cost information.Project Planning and Management:Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with the project team.Coordinate with engineers, architects, and other professionals to ensure that project requirements are met and design specifications are followed.Monitor project progress, identify potential risks or delays, and implement mitigation strategies as needed.Communicate regularly with clients, stakeholders, and project team members to provide updates on project status and address any concerns.Procurement and Resource Management:Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and services required for project execution.Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.Optimize resource allocation and utilization to maximize project efficiency and productivity.Quality Assurance and Safety Compliance:Implement quality control measures to ensure that work meets project specifications and industry standards.Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and safety compliance.Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to safety protocols among project team members and subcontractors.Stakeholder Relations:Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.Address client inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.Act as a primary point of contact for all project-related communications and inquiries.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).Minimum of 2 years of experience in marine construction estimating and project management.Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore).Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of relevant regulations, codes, and standards related to marine construction.
