📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
A highly regarded boutique employment defense law firm is seeking a motivated associate attorney with a strong base of knowledge of California employment law. We are searching for an associate with strong interpersonal and leadership skills and experience managing a variety of labor and employment cases throughout various stages of litigation. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience litigating labor and employment law disputes, including wage & hour and class actions. Associates have the autonomy to manage their own caseload while also working closely with senior attorneys. This is a great opportunity for an associate attorney looking to advance their career with a competitive salary.
Qualifications
3-7 years of experience with wage & hour, PAGA, employment discrimination, wrongful termination, contract disputes, and/or other related business litigationExperience drafting and responding to pleadings and discoveryExperience drafting and arguing motions including dispositive and discovery motionsExperience taking and defending depositionsStrong written and verbal communication skillsTeam-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently, handle high-volume work load, and effectively prioritize matters JD from an ABA accredited school and in good standing with the California BarTrial experience is preferred, but not a requirement
