📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Summary of Objectives:Estimate quantities of materials and produce an accurate budget for use in the construction of new homes.
Knowledge of Brix and Plan Swift preferred. Primary ResponsibilitiesEstimate all PSA changes for job starts.Validate Square footage for the job start.Brick, Stone, Cornice, Interior trim, Doors, Hardware, Lumber, tile, and flooring take-offs for new and old plansPerform plan reviews and alert Architecture of defects in drawings.Checking quantities of materials for POs before the budget is issued.Review ALL option takeoffs before they are loaded into BRIX for AccuracyValue Engineer plans to lower the cost of construction.Provide support and training to Field personnel regarding calculating the estimates.Provide detailed quantity takeoffs for every component necessary to build a home.Assist EPO personnel if needed to process variance purchase orders.Learn how sales pricing works and can work at least 2 weekend days per month providing sales pricing for sales associates.
Performance Standards2 complete takeoffs and budgets each day.
