Grand Strand Medical Center is looking for a full-time night shift Pharmacist!

At Grand Strand Medical Center, our pharmacists are an integral part of the patient’s care team. We work directly with our providers and nurses in a decentralized model and are extremely active in monitoring, adjusting, and recommending pharmacologic therapies. As a Pharmacist at Grand Strand, you will feel valued and practice at the top of your license.

Shift: 7 on 7 off 10 hour shifts.

Job Requirements

B.S. or PharmD from and ACPE accredited School of Pharmacy requiredHospital experience is requiredActive pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy1 year of Hospital experience required. Residency experience preferred.

In this role you will

Interpret orders and transcribe or verify them accurately and efficiently into the pharmacy computer system. Accurately compound and dispense pharmaceuticals. Monitor drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug-drug interactions, drug-food interactions, allergies and appropriateness of drug and dose. Sustain the hospital formulary, minimizing nonformulary procurements, utilizing therapeutic interchanges and promotes rational drug therapy selection. Provide accurate and timely medication information to healthcare staff and patients. Assist with clinical services such as drug consults, nutrition support, pharmacokinetics, anticoagulant monitoring, pain management, IV to PO, renal dosing and other programs as defined by Pharmacy Leadership. Document all clinical activities and interventions accurately and completely. Complete notification reports regarding medication errors and adverse drug reactions. Effectively supervise pharmacy operation activities and provide support to the whole pharmacy team.
