Staff Pharmacist

Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Pharmacist located in Aurora, CO.

Responsibilities Ability to work flexible hours, which may include evening, weekends, and holidays

Process new and refill patient prescription orders, preparation, and dispense medications

Work closely with Pharmacy Technicians and Order Entry Technicians in the preparation and dispensing of medications

Proficient in clinical interpretation; drug-drug, drug-disease, drug-food interaction and allergies

Performs accurately and efficiently when dispensing medications

Communicates with prescribers and other health care provider

Ensures safety practices and procedures are followed

Assist in the enforcement of all company and departmental policies and procedures

Ensures compliance with all applicable state and federal regulations related to pharmacy practices

Customer-Centered and strives to exceed customer expectations

Qualifications

B.S. or PharmD Degree in Pharmacy

Must have current Pharmacist Licensure in CO in good standing

1+ year’s recent experience in long term care (preferred), retail, or hospital pharmacy

Experience and knowledge base of intravenous admixtures services preferred

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with English as the primary language

Must have strong customer service skills, time management skills, and ability to problem solve
