We have an exciting opportunity in our Clemson, SC Design Center for a Graphic Arts Specialist Intern. Job Summary

The Graphic Arts Specialist Intern will work with our Evergreen Packaging, Foodservice and Carton teams, completing prepress jobs for gable top cartons, cups and folding cartons. They understand and align business operations and Graphic Design as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.

Job functions include and are not limited to the following.

Preflight as well as optimize incoming advertising/design/agency work to achieve the necessary trap, color separation, die placement, and aesthetic qualities, based on our manufacturing capabilities.

Learn workflow and manufacturing capabilities in order to analyze and solve graphic art design/production problems.

Other duties as assigned.

Skills

Basic knowledge of graphics software, including but not limited to Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Esko Software.

Ability to communicate detailed information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.

Ability to work independently, as well as contribute as part of a high-performance work team.

Layout/design and creative skills sufficient to find balance between customer’s needs and manufacturing limitations.

Experience

Manufacturing Graphics experience preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Working towards Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Communications, Graphic Design, or related field.
