Position: Food Safety & Compliance ManagerLocation: Henderson, NCPay: $70,000 to $90,000/yr (depending on experience)Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years of applicable experiencePrior supervisory experienceEducation: Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university, Food Science, or a similar field (preferred)Type: Full-time; Direct Hire, 100% onsite (no hybrid or remote potential)Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm
Greene Resources is seeking a Food Safety & Compliance Manager to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description:Manage company Food Safety and Quality programs in compliance with SQFI and FISMA standards.Provide leadership and guidance to drive continuous improvement in areas such as cost savings, efficiency, service, process deviations, and quality.Oversee all internal and external food safety, quality, and regulatory audits and inspections.Conduct training to ensure regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in food safety and quality practices (SQF, GMP, HACCP, etc.).Supervise product production, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and employee training.Manage supplier documentation, including certifications, audits, Certificates of Analysis (COAs), and supplier shelf-life letters.Interpret and communicate product recall/traceability procedures, labeling, and governmental regulations (FDA, USDA, DOA).Develop, review, and update technical documentation (SOPs, LPs, modules, etc.) related to Food Safety and Quality programs, and train stakeholders accordingly.Monitor sanitation practices to ensure compliance and identify trends.Maintain FSQA and USDA/FSIS/FDA tags, documents, and related records.Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company standards, and report any identified deficiencies.Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements: SQF, HACCP, PCQI certification (required).FISMA/FSIS/FDA/SQF working experience and knowledge of governmental regulations.Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software knowledge.Experience writing and revising technical documents (SOP's, compliance, learning plans, etc.).Strong interpersonal and communication (oral and verbal) skills.Effectively work with all levels of an organization and management.Outstanding motivational skills with negotiation and conflict resolution attributes.Ability to build strong working relationships and remain positive in the work environment.
