The postdoctoral fellowship is designed for clinical, counseling, or school Ph.D. graduates. PsyD psychology program students seeking licensure are interested in receiving supervised experience in a private practice setting. Under the supervision of licensed clinicians, the postdoctoral fellow provides direct clinical services to patients served by Greenwich Psychology Group (GPG). This position has flexible hours, fulfills CT and NY state licensure requirements, and comprises 1,800 total hours (including 950 required direct hours, completed in no less than nine months and no more than 24 months).

Candidates are provided extensive supervision by senior clinicians working in various treatment modalities, treating children, adults, and couples, and participating in weekly case conferences, in-house presentations, seminars, group supervision, and other professional development opportunities. Candidates are encouraged to pursue licensure during the fellowship period.

Program DescriptionThe Postdoctoral Program at GPG is designed to support and train Postdoctoral Fellows to become confident and competent clinicians with a strong professional identity, astute clinical and assessment skills, and a sense of purpose.

Fellows are trained as scholarly practitioners by focusing on direct clinical care and evidence-based practice. Skills are developed through multi-disciplinary experiences in assessment, intervention, and consultation, including supervision and didactics. Multicultural competence and ethical practice are components of all areas of training. Upon completing the training year, fellows will be prepared for licensure and practice with individuals across the lifespan and diagnostic spectrum. The clinical caseload is generally twenty to twenty-five direct service hours for full-time and twelve direct service hours for part-time per week. The fellowship includes child and adult individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, and group therapy, both in-person and via telehealth, as well as neuropsychological screening and comprehensive assessments. The training program is flexible and tailored to the fellow's interests and needs, based on the agreement of supervisors and candidates. Although some activities are required, there is considerable room for customization regarding clinical work. The Postdoctoral Fellow will participate in two hours of weekly individual supervision. They will spend their remaining time engaged in direct patient hours, professional development, didactic training, case consultation, shadowing, community outreach, administrative projects, and documentation.

Primary Job Responsibilities1. Psychotherapy: Provide therapy from multiple orientations and utilize multiple techniques, including CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, EMDR, mindfulness, art, and play therapy. Our Practice provides individual therapy, couples therapy, and group therapy.

• Psychological evaluations: conduct neuropsychological screenings and comprehensive psychological testing with children, adolescents, and young adults; evaluate differential diagnosis, ADHD, learning disorders, communication disorders, anxiety, mood, intellectual and developmental disability, and giftedness/twice-exceptional learners.
• Interdisciplinary consultation (e.g., with other mental health providers, schools, etc.)

Salary and BenefitsThe annual salary earning potential is $85,000 plus significant benefits.
