Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer is responsible for plans and develops activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for instructional processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties: ResponsibilitiesSupport on-site audits conducted by customers.Work closely with internal stakeholders, including engineering, and manufacturing teams, to communicate quality requirements and resolve supplier-related issues. Visits and confers with representatives of material and component vendors to obtain information related to supply quality.Support investigation of customer complaints, lead cross-functional problem-solving teams with focused root cause analysis and sustainable corrective action.Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and verifies effectiveness.Plan, conduct, and monitor tests and inspections on materials and products to ensure the quality of finished products.Provide quality support to quality manager for customer & supplier issue resolution. Work collaboratively with Engineering to complete the PPAP package for the introduction of new projects and engineering changes.Leads Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) teams and the development of Control Plans.Collaborate with manufacturing teams to reach long-term corrective action on quality issues and support the development of new processes. Inform the quality management team regarding customer feedback.Assist in new product development activities to avoid quality issues.Follow up activities on a daily basis with quality inspectorsPerforms other duties as assigned by Quality Manager.

QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent years of experience.1-3 years of experience in quality or related roles in the manufacturing industry.Recent college graduates will be considered but experience in automotive manufacturing is a plus.Knowledge of quality tools used in the industryExperience in statistical analysis and problem-solving methodologies.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers and customers.
