What You Will Do
Charged with overall account growth and satisfaction, this role of Key Client Director requires a self-motivated, driven professional with strong sales and business acumen, a proven track record of success in complex solution selling, a solid understanding of Utilities & Energy business operations and passion for execution excellence.
Responsibilities Include
Drive growth and customer satisfaction in Guidehouse’s Energy Providers Practice through crafting, selling, and overseeing delivery of strategic advisory, technology, and risk management consulting engagements, with a primary focus on Investor-Owned Utilities.This position is designed to support Guidehouse’s Energy Practice primarily in the following ways:Developing/expanding long-term client relationships that will lead to repeat business, meeting and exceeding sales targets setLeading the pursuit and closure of new consulting engagementsBuilding deep trusted advisor relationships with key Utility client stakeholdersCollaborating with senior consulting professionals in our delivery and solutions teams across Guidehouse to cross-sell a broader range of Guidehouse offerings to our Energy Provider clientsImproving client business performance through benchmarking, process improvement, performance metrics, operating risk assessment, and implementation of continuous improvement principles for clients, including:Assessing and guiding the business process and organizational changes required to improve organizational effectivenessBuilding results-oriented business processes, develop and implement long- and short-term strategies, and transition business models for clientsProviding oversight to project assignments, including development of team, outline of work plan, direction and coordination of technical contributions, and oversee budget and schedule.Contributing strategic industry, subject matter expertise and thought leadership on project assignments within the business unit or elsewhere within the organizationProviding mentoring to junior level staffManaging all aspects of client relationships and oversight of engagement delivery
What You Will Need
Due to nature of client engagements, must be a US Citizen or a US Permanent ResidentBachelor's degree in Engineering, Business or related discipline10+ years' experience professional working experience excluding internships, co-ops, fellowships, graduate research and post doctoral work.Executive level Power Utilities/Commercial Energy business experience with a deep background in the energy utility industry, including market structure, asset management, regulation, and clean energy trendsExtensive consulting experience within energy utilities excluding Oil & GasOutstanding analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and interpersonal skillsHigh degree of self-confidence and determinationHighly developed organizational and management skillsAbility to manage multiple time-sensitive priorities without diminished effectivenessAbility to communicate effectively throughout all levels of an organizationProficiency with spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and slide presentation softwareExperience developing and using analytical models and simulationsAbility to travel as neededAbility to handle multiple priorities and assignmentsAbility to work individually, as part of a team, or leading a teamReviewing and at times preparing and delivering reports, presentations and other documents for client deliverables
