Case Management Attorney

Our client -- a boutique law firm with one of the top plaintiff-side complex litigation practices in Chicago -- is seeking a staff attorney to manage the firm's mass tort lawsuits. This is largely a non-litigation role with flexibility and a meaningful commitment to work/life balance. This position offers a unique opportunity for a litigator who wants to take a step back from the front lines while still putting their knowledge to use in a new and interesting way at an exciting firm.

This attorney will work closely with partners, associates, and other staff to manage a high volume of clients in consolidated litigations throughout the lifetime of the case. Responsibilities include coordinating day-to-day responsibilities including weekly case meetings, managing SOL deadlines, managing written discovery, collecting data, preparing status updates, and managing and coordinating client and vendor communications. This attorney will supervise paralegals in mass tort litigation so claims can be timely filed, managed, and resolved.

Candidates should have two or more years of legal experience in product liability, mass torts, or personal injury law (plaintiff or defense side) and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with colleagues, clients, opposing counsel, and the court. Candidates should also have strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to supervise and organize paralegals with a high volume of complex cases.
