📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
Job Description
Position Summary: Operates x‐ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
Education, License & Cert: Completion of normal radiologic technology training in an AMA approved school (two) years with certification or completion of an approved training school.
Experience: Minimum of one year.
Essential Functions
Performs CT procedures. Performs patient care in CT area. Monitors scanner systems for program errors, correction of same or notification of repair facility. Clerical duties/computer functions. Radiation Safety.
Other Duties
Prepares appropriate CDs and other material to be sent to referring physicians. Monitors room temperature in order to shut down scanner, if temperatures are in excess of pre‐established standards in order to avoid equipment failure. Performs “warm up” of scanner, including a system test scan and the recording of same in the daily log, QA/QC. Observe all appropriate radiation safety measures for patient’s and personnel. Complete understanding of the functionality of the computer programs as it relates to your area, (i.e. EPIC, McKesson, etc.)
