Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Summary: Work in a fast paced environment developing and executing manual test scripts for insurance software applications. Identify, evaluate and document defects under supervision of the QA Supervisor and working closely with internal and external QA peers. Responsibilities include end-to-end manual testing for multiple insurance applications and functionality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following and other tasks as assigned:

Develop and execute manual test plans and scriptsAnalyze and clearly document and communicate test results, defects and risksCollaborate with internal and external resources to understand client use cases and ensure features and functionality are working per business requirementsCommunicate and document test progress, estimates, timeframes and other relevant information to management and other project stakeholdersWork closely with others in a team environment

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, or 3-5 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Property/Casualty insurance testing or policy or claim operational experience preferred.

Knowledge/Skills

Proven experience testing in agile and waterfall environments, with extensive experience creating and executing test plans and test cases Strong knowledge of system and functional testing, best practices and methodologiesDetail oriented with the ability to work in a team environmentFlexible with ability to easily adapt to changing priorities, business needs and job dutiesStrong analytical skills, with the ability to solve problems and recommend suggestions for improvementExcellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsMust be highly dedicated, efficient and self-motivated

Computer Skills

Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, especially ExcelJIRA knowledge requiredExperience in SQL and/or Oracle database testing and validation strongly preferred
