How You Will Make An Impact

As the Senior Director, Commercial Operations you expand and strengthen Halozyme’s analytical processes that drive our strategic and tactical decisions. Specifically, the Senior Director leads Forecasting, Gross-to-Net calculations, Commercial Sales Force Structure, Incentive Compensation, Commercial Analytics of Performance and Opportunities, Operational Expense tracking, CRM and administration/Support of all Commercial applications, platforms, systems, data warehouse, and Master Data Management processes. The Senior Director will spearhead Halozyme’s implementation of machine learning (AI) to automate manual processes and inform decision making.

In This Role, You’ll Have The Opportunity To

Transform sales data into actionable insights.Design, build, and maintain all sales demand related reporting on multiple platforms.Design, build, automate, and monitor targeting, goal setting and incentive compensation including sales contests for the sales force.Manage the Commercial Operations budget, including vendor selection, contract negotiation and monitoring vendor performance.Write policies and procedures for proper use and administration of Salesforce.Manage Commercial applications, platforms, systems, data warehouse, and Master Data Management.

To Succeed In This Role, You’ll Need

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems with at least 15 years of life sciences industry experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered).Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology with experience in master data management processes and platforms, business intelligence software, and data warehouse platforms.Experience supporting commercial, medical, Finance and other noncommercial applications.Advanced understanding of data warehouse architecture and best practices.Advanced understanding of Master Data Management architecture and best practices.Experience with Specialty Pharmacy/Distributor data and/or IQVIA/Symphony datasets.Experience as a technical business partner supporting key business areas.Ability to manage people, IT vendors and IT consultants.

The most likely base pay range for this position is $199K to $298K per year. Several factors, such as experience, tenure, skills, and particular business needs, will determine an individual’s exact level of compensation. Base salary is only one element of employee compensation at Halozyme. Total compensation could include bonuses, sales incentives, and equity awards.
