The ClientMy client is an exciting Chemical Manufacturing Start-Up with huge investment to tackle the Global CO2 problem plaguing the industry. They've figured out how to take the carbon outputs from industrial emitters, and use them as the inputs for chemical manufacturing. They’re not simply storing carbon away - they're turning it into valuable, emission-free green-chemicals.
For every tonne of products they make, over 2 tonnes of carbon are removed from the atmosphere!!!
The RoleThey are looking for an experienced Process Engineer & Project Manager to facilitate the delivery of their new first commercial scale plant. Managing and working closely together with their team of process engineers, you will be ensuring the efficient and fast-tracked delivery of our 300m3 plant.
You will provide the team with project management expertise and be the liaising between the R&D teams, process engineers, and contractors for the implementation of our first-of-a-kind facility outside of Houston, Texas. You will also be reviewing documentation from the fermentation and plant in the final stages, ensuring seamless implementation.
ResponsibilitiesManages delivery of individual projects and holds primary responsibility for achievement of cost, schedule and quality objectives.Oversees activities of Process Engineers, Contractors, Construction Managers.Review P&IDs, and final documentation for the plant and fermentation. Coordinates resources to achieve project goals.Manages the compliance approach of projects.
RequirementsAn education as process engineer, chemical engineer, biotech engineer or other relevant fields (MSc).Extensive experience in BioFuels, Fermentation or other bioprocessing plants.Experience managing construction, as well as plant commissioning & start-ups.Experience in designing and building biotech process equipment.Focus on delivering exceptional results.10+ years of process engineering experience in related jobs such as engineering lead titles, PM, and similar.
