📋 Role Overview & Responsibilities
We’re looking for an Actuarial Analyst to join our team and help our clients solve complex risk and insurance challenges. In this dynamic role, you’ll work across key functions of loss reserving, rate making, and risk management, leveraging cutting-edge tools and advanced statistical methods to deliver impactful results. You’ll distill complex information into clear actions, empowering our clients to make informed decisions and becoming a trusted advisor.
Some examples of projects you may tackle include:Estimating unpaid property and casualty insurance liabilities, with a disciplined approach to understanding the data, the products, the coverages, the claims function, and the reserving methodologies.Rate making for property and casualty insurance products, including rate level indications, deductible factors, increased limit factors, territorial rating, and classification plans; applying rating plan segmentation tools from machine learning to generalized linear models.Pricing for reinsurance program placements using experience and exposure-based methods, along with risk transfer testing of reinsurance programs.
Qualifications:1+ years of personal lines rate making or loss reserving experience OR catastrophe modeling for property insurance exposures.Successfully completed 2+ CAS examsAdvanced Excel experience (V-Lookup, Pivot Tables, macros, etc).Familiar with SQLStrong analytical problem-solving skills.
