Clinical Laboratory Assistant

Responsibilities:Perform routine laboratory tests and procedures according to established protocols and quality standards.Prepare specimens for analysis, including specimen collection, labeling, and processing.Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.Analyze test results, interpret findings, and accurately record data in laboratory information systems.Assist in troubleshooting technical issues and resolving problems to ensure the integrity of test results.Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.Collaborate with healthcare professionals and other laboratory staff to coordinate specimen collection and testing schedules.Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Maintain accurate inventory of laboratory supplies and reagents, and reorder supplies as needed.Stay informed about advances in laboratory technology and best practices in clinical laboratory science.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Biology, Chemistry, or related field.Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Clinical Laboratory Technician (CLT) preferred.Prior experience working in a clinical laboratory setting is highly desirable.Strong understanding of laboratory techniques, equipment, and procedures.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
